Pairing

Cocktail: Fall Back

Why: The apple notes of the brandy and the spice of the rye match the flavor profile of the chutney and the pepper on the pork. The spirit-forward and dry profile cocktail cuts through the sweetness of the meal. This is a boozy, stirred cocktail - so if you prefer something less spirit-forward, feel free to add in apple cider or hard cider for an interesting alternative

What: This is an apple-forward twist on a Manhattan.

Recipe: Stir ingredients over ice. Taste. If you prefer more sweetness, add in a bar spoon of simple syrup or vermouth. Stir again. Strain into coupe. Garnish with an apple slice or orange peel. If you want to be fancy, you can rim half of the glass with cinnamon sugar
