Kitchen Tools

Dutch Oven

Get a big boy. Le Creuset 6.75 qt

Coravin

This is my FAVORITE device. This device allows you to pour wine without adding oxygen into the bottles, thus preserving the wine for a very long time. No more throwing away half empty bottles

Really Big Cutting Board

Give your self enough room to work. Don’t use a hard plastic or glass-like cutting board that will dull your knives. Boos blocks are king

Whet Stone

Sharpen your knives twice a year!

Wooden Spoons

Great for use in cast iron pans.

Cocktail Mixing Glass

Essential for stirred cocktails. Accompany with bar spoon, julep strainer, and a 2oz measuring cup

Huge Metal Spatula

Must have for grilling, griddles, and flexing on the boys

Cast Iron

Lodge is a fine brand, but Field and Co. is my favorite brand. Buy some grapeseed oil for seasoning. It’s fine to clean with a bit of soap and water, despite the traditional thinking.

Espresso Machine

This is an expensive luxury, but maybe the best “frivolous” buy we’ve ever made. It has changed our coffee game

Citrus Squeezer

Lemons and limes should be freshly squeezed for cocktails and sauces. A citrus squeezer doesn’t take up too much room but comes in handy!

Decanter

Use a decanter to get the most out of your red wine. Think about the surface area of the wine for speed of decanting and the easy of pouring

Rabbit Wine Opener

Super easy way to get that bottle open.

Cocktail Shaker

Gotta have it for shaken drinks. I recommend a metal-on-metal Boston shaker. Accompany with a Hawthorne strainer

Garlic Cellar

Henry Watson terracotta garlic keeper

Block Ice Mold

Not necessary, but definitely fun

Air Fryer

It’s basically a super fast convection oven. We use it all the time! Great for salmon, wings, fries, veggies, and reheating
